Honda had announced that it will be cutting production of its Accord hybrid. Apparently not only are sales low for the brand’s flagship, but younger sibling Civic hybrid is selling like hotcakes. I’ve read Honda’s even considering dropping the trim altogether.
If the automaker does so, we’ll have to drop them.

Automobiles de Luxe has a hilarious post on descriptors for the new Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. Gunnar Heinrich, who writes the blog, found adjectives such as “Big & Bold” and “Serve & Protect” in the description of the SUV. After nearly snorting out (hot) coffee from barely surpressed laughter, I added my two cents: “Gas-guzzling & Pretentious”.

For the past couple of days I have spent over $200 dollars on rentals. How? I didn’t choose the standard vehicles like a Taurus or Grand Am. I rented, instead, a Nissan Murano and an Infiniti M. Healthcare costs continue to rise here in the U.S. I can sympathize why the United Auto Workers and other unions in Detroit are fighting tooth and nail to maintain their phenomenal health coverage. Foreign automakers with plants on U.S. soil (called “transplants”) have made sure to match such benefits to keep their workers happy and, more importantly, prevent any unions from forming.
So what would happen to those benefits if unions didn’t exist anymore?
