The Optima has earned a “Good” rating – the highest possible – from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for its remarkable safety performance with top marks in the frontal and rear impact tests.
Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) is applying the “Special Edition”; treatment to its critically acclaimed ninth-generation Lancer Evolution.
Not surprisingly, the 2006 Ford Expedition continues to be a smooth ride. Benefiting from the four-wheel-drive independent suspension, the Expedition continues to have great handling and it’s at the top of its class.
Known as the “American supercar reborn”, the Ford GT was originally built in commemoration of the Ford GT40 racecar. As you may (or may not) remember, the GT40 was a legendary racer that swept the competition and beat out the world’s best racecars in the prestigious 24 Hours of LeMans race back in 1966.
The new BMW M5 sedan, with its 500 horsepower engine, is in the same league as the Mercedes-Benz E55 AMB and the Audi RS6. All three carmakers quote a 0 to 62 miles per hour time of 4.7 seconds, and all three are capable of a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The BMW M5 is different from its competitors, however, in that it feels like it was designed and built by people with a passion for driving.
Dear Santa,
I’ve been good this year, so I’m going to ask for something special this Christmas. I want a new car. I know, it’s a lot to ask, but I have been really, really good this year!
Automakers have apparently been working hard to make an impact on consumers with their new lines for 2006. Many new models offer impressive styling but few can compete with the sexy new Jaguar XK Convertible.
The Jeep has been around for decades and designers have always used traditional styling for the Jeep Commander. Things have changed in the 2006 model. Jeep’s new Commander includes new features that compliment the traditional, classic look.
The XK is one of the most underappreciated high-end sports coupes on the market, and I’m not really sure why. Jaguar build and ride quality has always been of the highest caliber (save for the Ford merger, but that’s another story) but the XK just doesn’t get the play of cars like the Mercedes SL and the M3. Through some linking on other sides, I stumbled upon what appears to be an authentic picture of the 2006 Jag XK model, and I have to say that it’s the nicest looking coupe I’ve seen in a very long time.
