NASHVILLE (May 15, 2007) – Nissan North America, Inc. announced pricing on the 2008 Pathfinder, which goes on sale today at Nissan dealers nationwide. For the first time ever, Pathfinder is available with a 5.6-iter V8 engine, offering an additional 44 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque over the standard 4.0-liter V6 for greater towing capacity. Other major enhancements for 2008 include a restyled exterior and interior, and a range of available technology features such as RearView Monitor, Intelligent Key and Bluetooth hands-free phone system.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 18, 2007) — Nissan today announced its plans to launch its first clean diesel engine in the United States for use in the Nissan Maxima in 2010. The passenger car will be powered by an all-new Alliance engine co-developed with its partner, Renault, and will clear stringent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier II Bin 5 emissions requirements. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 1, 2007) – Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today reported sales of 85,218 units in February, up 1.2 percent from the prior year. Nissan Division sales increased by 0.7 percent over last year. Infiniti Division posted a sales increase of 5.0 percent versus the prior year.

DETROIT, BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT, TOKYO, October 2006 - General Motors, Renault and Nissan said last week that they had agreed to terminate discussions regarding a proposed alliance among the three companies.
In an interview yesterday, Renault and Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn reported that talks with General Motors were “positive”.
In mysteries, the most common thought for a competent detective is the question, “who benefits?” As previously posted, General Motors is meeting with Nissan/Renault to discuss a possible alliance or even merger. I immediately asked the question when I read the bombshell and agree with most analyts there’s no real benefit for any party.
