Saab has just created a new (dare I say it) Reality-type game. It’s not so much a reality game, but uses some elements of Flash and real life cinematography to inject the game into life.

I took a few moments to peruse the game. I didn’t like the fact that you have to sign up to play the game. Definitely minus points for adding that feature. I see the reasoning beyond it, as with all good marketing ploys online, e-mails convert, but it’s still just one extra step before the meat and potatoes of the game.
On the other hand, when logging back into the game after you’ve spent enough quality time neglacting your…um…what do you call them again…OH..duties at work, you can jump right back in your Saab seat and begin playing where you left off.
The point of the game is to get your brand new Saab 9-3 through the unbelievably narrow streets of “The City” and into the leisure of Hazard Point (ioronic name for leisure).
As from the site:
Can you take the dynamic new Saab 9-3 SportWagon out of the city and arrive at hazard Point, your sporty weekend destination, unscathed?
Complete the adventure in the quickest possible time and you could be driving away in a top-of-the-range Saab 9-3 Aero V6 SportWagon for real.
The game is pretty fun. I managed to get lost in the city for an hour, pick up a hitchhiker who then knocked me out and stole my Saab, then managed to burn through the ropes he tied me up in, escape via the river, and by the grace of God, find my car at the lighthouse (with the keys in the ignition) and get to Hazard Point.
All in all, it’s a pretty awesome online game. Take a spin. Post your times…mine was like 6 hrs and some change.
